A GROUP of training course members including three Travellers were discriminated against when they were refused service at a hotel during a lunchtime break.

Naas Circuit Court has ruled that Bridget O’Brien, Michelle O’Brien, Bridget Crawley, Caroline Monaghan and Gráinne O’Toole were unfairly treated by staff at the Osprey Hotel on March 24, 2009.

The case, which followed an unsuccessful Kildare District Court hearing in 2009, was taken on the individuals behalf by the Irish Traveller Movement Law Centre.
