TEENAGERS in Cork have come up with a homemade zit-busting cleanser to target pesky spots.

Students Erin Coffey, 16, and Katie Barry, 16, from Regina Mundi College, Douglas Road, showcased their research into facial cleansers and make-up and the effects of commercial products on the skin at the SciFest science fair.

The girls tested foundations and cleansers to chart the effects of commercial products on the skin.
