Horse amnesty to tackle crisis

A NATIONAL horse amnesty is being organised by the Dublin SPCA in response to the alarming rise in abandoned or mistreated animals.

Horse amnesty to tackle crisis

As part of the National Horse Amnesty Programme, which begins on April 4, owners and members of the public can phone a dedicated and confidential phone line.

There will also be the option of finding a suitable foster home for the animal if the owner is under temporary pressure and feels that they will be able to take ownership of the horse again in the future.
