Probe into multiple killings complete

THE garda investigation into the deaths of a woman, her two children and a family friend in Newcastle West has been completed.

Inspector Eamon O’Neill told Newcastle West district court yesterday that the file on the investigation involving accused, John Geary, has been sent to the DPP and they are awaiting his instruction.

Geary, 31, was further remanded to the same court on April 12 charged with the murder of Sarah Hines, 25, her children Reece Hines, three, Amy Hines, five months and Alicia Brough, 20 at Hazelgrove, Newcastle West on November 15 last.
