Probe into multiple killings complete
Inspector Eamon O’Neill told Newcastle West district court yesterday that the file on the investigation involving accused, John Geary, has been sent to the DPP and they are awaiting his instruction.
Geary, 31, was further remanded to the same court on April 12 charged with the murder of Sarah Hines, 25, her children Reece Hines, three, Amy Hines, five months and Alicia Brough, 20 at Hazelgrove, Newcastle West on November 15 last.
Geary, originally from Milford, Co Cork has an address at Meadowcourt, Newcastle West.
Ted McCarthy, solicitor, told Judge Mary O’Halloran there was no objection to the remand sought by the state.
