Kenny says corporation tax will not be reduced

THE competitive edge Ireland’s low corporation tax rate gives Ireland will never be negotiated away, the Taoiseach has vowed.

Enda Kenny insisted the 12.5% limit would be a red- line issue in his crisis talks with EU leaders tomorrow.

The Taoiseach told the Dáil he would not surrender to demands from countries like France and Germany that Dublin raises the tax in order to secure a better bailout deal from Brussels.
