MORE than 70% of people shop around for better prices, as the recession continues to hit ordinary consumers in their pockets.

The latest shopping and pricing research from the National Consumer Agency (NCA) showed that for some 57% of consumers, price remains the leading influencing factor in determining where to shop.

However, this has dropped about 15% from the last research carried out in June of last year, which the report claimed may have been down to the weather.
