Airbus to face crash charges

A FRENCH judge has filed preliminary manslaughter charges against planemaker Airbus over the 2009 crash of an Air France jet.

All 228 people aboard the Rio de Janeiro-Paris flight were killed when the Airbus A330 jet crashed into the Atlantic on June 1, 2009.

The dead included two Irish citizens.
