Court to rule on extradition

A HIGH COURT decision on whether to extradite Ian Bailey to France in connection with the death of Sophie Toscan du Plantier in Cork 14 years ago, will be made today.

Mr Bailey was arrested last April on foot of a European arrest warrant issued by a Paris magistrate investigating the mother-of-one’s death.

Mr Bailey has always denied any involvement in the killing of Ms Toscan du Plantier, aged 39, whose body was discovered near her holiday home in Schull on December 23, 1996.
