RTÉ seeks to cut 60 jobs

RTÉ management are seeking 50 to 60 job reductions at the station through voluntary redundancies and early retirements.

The confirmation came yesterday after a meeting between management and unions. The terms and conditions will be discussed at a further meeting on March 23.

The unions said the company confirmed it is seeking a continuation of the current pay reduction and a suspension of increments for 12 months after which there would be a review and independent verification.
