One-day ticket a sign of the times for Picnic

RECESSION-HIT revellers hungry for the Electric Picnic will be able to get a one-day ticket for the music and arts festival.

Sunday-only wristbands will be on sale for the first time for the three-day boutique event, to be headlined by Canadian band, Arcade Fire.

The Chemical Brothers, Interpol, PJ Harvey and Pulp — who recently reformed after a decade apart — are also among the top names confirmed for Stradbally, Co Laois, on September 2-4.
