Kate flips pancakes during surprise visit by couple to North

BEAMING bride-to-be Kate Middleton tossed a pancake in the centre of Belfast yesterday during a surprise first visit to the North with her future husband Prince William.

She got into the spirit of Pancake Day outside City Hall to support children involved in a Shrove Tuesday fundraising venture for cancer.

They made appearances at venues in and around Belfast, though there was no pre-visit announcement by Buckingham Palace and the Northern Ireland Office because of obvious security considerations.
