Fourteen properties repossessed by lenders

THE Dublin High Court yesterday saw its highest number of house repossessions granted so far this year with lenders taking ownership of 14 properties.

Fourteen properties repossessed by lenders

These included two apartments in Carrick on Shannon, the purchase of which involved rogue solicitor Micheal Lynn. The defendant in this case was not questioning Irish Nationwide Building society’s right to possession but was disputing his link to the associated indebtness, that included €134,000 in arrears, claiming Mr Lynn had taken full ownership of the apartments in 2004.

Mr Lynn fled the jurisdiction leaving behind multimillion euro bank debts. He is currently believed to be resident somewhere in eastern Europe.
