Politicians must be reminded the electorate exists between elections

REGARDLESS of our incompetence and their corruption, or indeed their incompetence and our corruption, democracy is the only show in town, and that show rolls in on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at a theatre near you. Don’t miss it, it mightn’t be back for another five years!

As a former practitioner, who came to realise the dire necessity for a fundamental reform of our entire political system, it has been gratifying to witness the apparent priority given to the issue by all the major parties not to mention the heightened awareness of its importance by the electorate.
