Fishermen jump ship determined to cast postal votes

THEY came from the land of the Norse, many jumping ship brandishing weapons in an attempt to pillage Fianna Fáil.

These modern day visitors to Killybegs in Co Donegal weren’t angry Vikings carrying axes, but fishermen armed with envelopes who were determined to cast their postal votes.

A number of vessels docking in the port last weekend were from Castletownbere, Co Cork.
