Acclaimed filmmaker to grace festival

THE 22nd Cork French Film Festival will take place next month and will be attended by one of cinema’s greatest living legends, film maker Agnes Varda.

The festival was launched in Cork last night and includes a selection of contemporary and classic French films and documentaries, specially-commissioned live soundtracks, audio visual performances, film masterclasses and Q&A sessions.

The annual festival runs from March 6-13. This year’s opening film is Cléo from 5 to 7, a real-time portrayal of a Parisian singer waiting from 5pm to 7pm for results of a biopsy.
