FG promises €100m fund for small businesses

SMALL businesses will get a €100 million boost if Fine Gael gets into government, the party’s enterprise spokesperson Richard Bruton pledged.

Mr Bruton said small businesses were the backbone of the economy and had been allowed to starve to death through lack of investment during the downturn.

“There has to be special measures designed to protect small businesses, which are the life-blood of our country,” he said.
