Gardaí recover stolen laptops

GARDAÍ have recovered 10 laptops stolen from the headquarters of the Revenue Commissioner’s in an abandoned house in west Dublin.

Acting on a tip-off, gardaí raided the house in a ‘ghost estate’ in Tyrrelstown on Sunday.

The laptops were being stored in the rafters of the house. Detectives are now probing intelligence that the Provisional IRA may have been responsible for the theft. A source said officers had not ruled out the possibility that criminal gangs from north or west Dublin may also have been behind the theft.
