Man still in critical condition after knife attack near his home

A MAN in his 40s remains in critical condition in hospital after he was stabbed and slashed by two attackers just feet from his Cork city home.

The victim was attacked at Plunkett Road, Ballyphehane at 1.50am last Monday.

He had been socialising in Togher and Cork city centre before the attack and had been dropped off near his home by a taxi moments before the attack took place.
