20 new jobs for Allergan base

TWENTY jobs will be created at Allergan’s Irish base in Westport, Co Mayo.

SeriScaffold is a bioresorbable silk-based surgical scaffold for use in tissue generation such as breast reconstruction.

Preparation for the transfer of the manufacturing process will commence in 2011. It represents a $10 million investment at the Westport site. Full commercial production will relocate to Ireland from Boston in late 2013 when the jobs will be created.
