Gilmore defends plan to overhaul EU bailout

LABOUR leader Eamon Gilmore fought off attacks on his party’s plan to overhaul the EU bailout and defended his ratings among voters.

Continuing his election campaign across Munster yesterday, Mr Gilmore was forced on the defensive after criticism of the party’s economic plans.

But one of the strongest rebukes was thrown at Europe’s top banker.
