Election rally dance is just the ticket

GLOBALLY, it may be Facebook and Twitter which shakes the political classes, but politicians in south Kerry are relying on old-style “election rally dances” to whip up the faithful.

Independent candidate Tom Fleming, a former Fianna Fáil mayor of Kerry, is kicking off his campaign tonight with a dance at the River Island Hotel in Castleisland.

Advertisements have been taken out in local press and the posters erected announce Mr Fleming’s “election rally dances”. The music is by a Scartaglin band, the OC Trio.
