Cuffe prediction of ‘deal with the devil’ rings true

IT turns out that Ciarán Cuffe was right all along.

If you were a Green Party stalwart in the last few years, the musings of the Dún Laoghaire TD in May 2007 about a deal with Fianna Fáil being “a deal with the devil” must seem particularly apt right now.

Mr Cuffe caused a bit of a stir in May 2007 when on his blog ‘Cuffe Street’ he more than hinted at the outcome for the Green Party should they jump into bed with what was then Bertie’s Fianna Fáil.
