Lenihan insists he’s the ‘poster boy’ of recovery
He believes he is the “strongest challenger” to front-runner Micheál Martin for the Fianna Fáil leadership, based on the number of TDs who have already promised him their support.
Launching his candidacy yesterday, the minister said the leadership will “soon fall to a new generation” and would not comment on whether he would lead the party throughout the full term of the next Dáil.
