Greens finally stand up to FF ‘partners’
It marked the end of one of the most unlikely relationships in Irish political life where the party of power snuggled up to a tiny group of idealists which made its name standing against everything Fianna Fáil stood for.
Together they worked through four of the toughest budgets the state has witnessed, passed cutbacks across all state services and both endured a brutal local election result.
