2,000 college hopefuls get a taste of life at institute

OVER 2,000 secondary school students, parents and teachers packed into Waterford Institute of Technology yesterday to get a taste of college life.

The young adults were attending the WIT annual open day and got the chance to talk to lecturers and explore state-of-the- art labs, lecture rooms, sports facilities and campus to experience a sense of third-level education.

Now one of the largest institutes of technology in the country, WIT welcomed over 2,300 first-year students last September.
