Couple may delay wedding
Marie Reidy and her soon-to-be-husband, Breandán, were due to marry in Tralee in five weeks’ time.
The couple, who are in their early 30s, have been seeing each other for a number of years.
In light of the tragic death of Marie’s first cousin Miriam from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, they are understood to be considering postponing the wedding.
On Sunday morning, Marie’s first cousin Miriam was found dead in her room at the Trident Hotel, from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
The deceased, aged 35, had travelled to the area as part of a large hen party to celebrate Marie’s engagement.
While the group were unavailable to speak yesterday, a relative confirmed no decision has been made on whether the date for the wedding should be moved due to the tragedy.
