Toni & Guy closures on horizon
A spokesperson for the company said full details of the plan would be announced today and confirmed the business had been struggling for some time. The spokesperson could not confirm how many people are employed in Ireland and how many jobs would be lost in the restructuring. However, the company is believed to employ in excess of 300 staff here.
The Irish business is owned by a mixture of franchisees and Toni & Guy Ireland. The first Toni & Guy salon opened on South Anne Street in Dublin in 1993 and quickly grew from there. There are now six salons in Dublin and five more in Waterford, Cork, Kilkenny, Naas and Galway.
