Mother of woman stabbed to death confronts accused

THE distraught mother of a young woman, who along with her two children and a friend were stabbed to death in a house in Newcastle West, yesterday confronted the man charged with their murder.

Amid emotional scenes at Newcastle West District Court, John Geary, 31, of Meadow Court, Newcastle West, was further remanded in custody to the same court on February 1.

As he was led from the court, Abina Hines, mother of Sarah Hines, shouted: “I am going to fucking destroy you. Do you hear me? Scumbag, you murdered my family.”
