Crash victims’ removal

AN Taoiseach Brian Cowen joined grieving family members and hundreds of mourners and sympathisers amid poignant scenes at the removal in Ballybay, Co Monaghan, yesterday of crash victim Roisín Connolly, 38, and her unborn baby Catherine who were killed in a car crash outside Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, on Monday night.

Roisín’s husband Stephen arrived by car with his arm in a sling and on crutches, nursing a broken arm and injured leg sustained in the crash in which his wife and unborn daughter lost their lives.
