Munster rugby player arrested

A MUNSTER rugby player was arrested in Kilkenny in the early hours of Tuesday morning after being drunk on a street during a Christmas night out.

The unnamed player was arrested by gardaí and brought to a city Garda station over a public order offence which involved two men.

Gardaí said the player was released without charge and the matter is to be dealt with through a fine under the fixed charge penalty system.
