Relief for businesses as no hike in rates for four years

BUSINESSES in Co Cork will not face an increase in commercial rates for the next four years.

County manager Martin Riordan said he made the decision to give certainty to businesses which are facing a very difficult time in this economic climate.

The decision to freeze rates until 2014 was made yesterday at the county council’s annual budget meeting.
