Fianna Fáil needs a miracle to avoid meltdown

ON the face of it, Fianna Fáil needs a miracle, if it is to avoid meltdown at the general election.

The findings in the latest poll which show the party on just 17% would indicate that it may retain just 25 to 30 of its seats in the election — and it could be even worse than that.

But it could also be better, albeit only by a small amount.
