Woman guilty of deception has sentencing deferred

A WOMAN, who pleaded guilty to providing false information to an airline when organising charter flights for Munster rugby fans, yesterday had sentence in her case deferred as she was unable, for health reasons, to attend Limerick Circuit Court.

Pamela Hickey, 37, from Ashford, Patrickswell, Co Limerick, had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of obtaining a service by deception on dates in 2004 and 2005.

She dishonestly furnished Monarch Airlines with false information when chartering flights between Gatwick and Shannon in September 2004 and January 2005.
