Winner Rayner working his magic with Cullen

THE winner of the 2009 series, Skibbereen-based Steve Rayner is still working with Bill Cullen after being effectively given a chance to continue rebuilding his life by the show.

In the penultimate instalment of the 2009 series it emerged that the 31-year-old was a recovering alcoholic and compulsive gambler. However, Mr Cullen’s trust in him appears to have been repaid.

Since starting work in the car sales section of the Glencullen business in January, Mr Rayner has seemingly gone from strength to strength. During a recent media interview, Mr Cullen said: “Steve is fantastic, he is absolutely rocking with us,” the businessman explained. “Being on The Apprentice has given Steve a profile that’s very supportive of the work he is doing.
