THE Greens have given mixed signals as to how long they are prepared to stay in Government before demanding a general election next year.

Green TD Paul Gogarty and Senator Dan Boyle both said yesterday that the Government would remain in place only until the Finance Bill is passed to give full effect to the budget.

That would most likely mean a February election.
