SOME of Cork County Council’s services will be cut by up to 15% in an effort to tackle an estimated €15 million cut in its annual budget.

Sources within Ireland’s largest local authority say it is likely that its road maintenance budget will be one of the hardest hit.

This is likely to cause considerable concern when details of the budget are discussed at County Hall on Friday, December 17, especially if the bad weather continues to create potholes on local and regional roads.
