A KERRY farmer has invented a device that could help save the lives of farmers in danger of being attacked by bulls.

Following a narrow escape from a bull in a field, Gerard O’Leary came up with the idea of Bull Stop — an electronic collar placed around a bull’s neck through which a shock can be administered.

The collar is activated by the farmer pressing a button which he wears around his neck as a pendant.
