Now, however, after a gruelling therapy regime the two young Cork boys are running around like any other young boys.

The boys were two of five children, and 10 winners overall, who inspired bravery in overcoming their illness and were honoured at the Irish Heart Foundation’s inaugural stroke awards in the Mansion House, Dublin yesterday.
