Tralee hospital news welcome

THE retention of key services in Kerry General Hospital (KGH), Tralee, has been welcomed by Jimmy Deenihan TD.

He said that a recommendation in the HSE’s reconfiguration roadmap for Cork and Kerry that the 24-hour A&E unit be continued in KGH was particularly welcome.

The Fine Gael TD welcomed that the hospital will also have an acute medical assessment unit and an urgent care centre.
