O’Flynn insists threat to Cowen no act of political showmanship

NOEL O’FLYNN has upped the ante considerably in his two-pronged assault on Taoiseach Brian Cowen.

Firstly, the Cork North Central TD says that the moment the budget is delivered, Mr Cowen should go.

Secondly, Mr O’Flynn is warning he won’t vote for that budget unless the old age pension is protected. To emphasise the latter point, Mr O’Flynn has written to the Taoiseach warning that he will pull his support if the pension is cut.
