Rugby fans pay rip-off prices to see their heroes

IRISH rugby fans are paying over the odds to see their heroes in action when compared with Europe’s other top teams.

Despite rugby chiefs admitting they “got it wrong” for this month’s internationals, a price comparison survey reveals punters pay as much as 85% more to watch one-off games at the Aviva stadium when compared with other internationals.

For example, Ireland’s match against Argentina at the end of the month will set punters back €95.
