Drive to ‘care for and repair’ houses of elderly

AN initiative in Limerick will see repairs being carried out to houses occupied by the elderly and disabled people.

The Limerick City Care & Repair service is starting as a pilot project, initially in Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish area of the city, with the aim of expanding into other areas in coming months.

The person will only have to pay for any materials used in the repairs, but the costs of the labour needed to complete the repair will be free.
