Group: Restaurant closures running at one a day

ONE restaurant is closing every day in Ireland and 80% are running at a loss, the Restaurants Association of Ireland has warned.

It says Government policies and inaction are putting 21,000 jobs at risk, with a potential loss of €700m to the economy.

“Nothing has been done by the Government since this time last year to change this reality,” said RAI chief executive Adrian Cummins.
