Teary Mary missing home

X FACTOR contestant Mary Byrne sang a classic tear-jerker on Saturday night – Faith Hill’s There You’ll Be and ended up close to tears herself.

It had not been a good week for the 50-year-old singer from Dublin who admitted she was feeling homesick and was missing her daughter, Debbie.

But, despite her shaky start to the song that became famous after it was included on the soundtrack for the 2001 American war film, Pearl Harbour, Mary still got a huge round of applause from the audience and she survived being in the bottom two.
