ONE-in-four bed and breakfasts have already attained three-to-five star ratings as part of a new classification system introduced three months ago.

The scheme, administered by Fáilte Ireland, means visitors can now choose the quality of accommodation they want in a B&B holiday.

More than 450 B&Bs have already received three-to-five star ratings and, according to Helena Healy, chief executive of B&B Ireland, entries for next year are expected to increase significantly.
