Former FF TD, Carey Joyce, passes away

TRIBUTES have been paid to a former Cork TD who died at the weekend aged 88.

Carey Joyce, a predecessor of Ned O’Keeffe, served as a Fianna Fáil TD for the Cork East constituency from 1981 to 1982.

The farmer and agricultural contractor was described as a larger-than-life character who served on Cork County Council from 1974 until he stepped down from local politics in 1999.
