Kellys tops for holiday claims

‘MARY Kelly’ is most likely to claim for medical expenses on the third day of her August holiday.

A trawl of people who claim on their travel insurance in Ireland has found that people with the surname Kelly, claim more than anyone else. Also the names Mary and John are the most common claimants’ names.

The figures compiled over two years by www.getcover.ie found that the average cost of a cancellation is €519, while the average claim for medical expenses is €633.
