AIRLINE passengers flying to or through France face disruption today as air traffic controllers join in the escalating general strike in that country.

Several flights to and from Dublin have been cancelled and passengers are being advised to keep in touch with their airline about possible further schedule changes.

Aer Lingus has cancelled its 11am flight to Paris, as well as the return flight to Dublin, but a spokeswoman said it was hoped most passengers would be accommodated on other flights throughout the day.
