Van owner feels driven to breaking the law

TOM FITZGERALD is a man with a van who feels he is being driven to break the law.

In protest against stricter registration rules he intends painting a red ‘X’ on his vehicle today to make it easier for the authorities to spot him.

The painter and decorator from Askeaton, Co Limerick, who is the father of two teenage children, uses his commercially registered van a couple of hours a week for private purposes.
