Director denies ‘ludicrous’ claim he ran off with Empower fees

THE director of private training company, Empower Learning, which went into liquidation this week leaving over 1,000 students in limbo, has stated that claims he has “run off” with monies belonging to the firm were “ludicrous.”

Empower Learning collected fees of more than €250,000 in recent months and is presently at the centre of three investigations including one by the Garda Fraud Squad.

The company’s husband and wife director team of Stephen Doran and Vivienne Hinton left the country following reports it was being investigated.
